A Boost converter or step-up switch mode power supply that can also be called a switch mode regulator. It steps up the input voltage to produce a higher output voltage. This paper reviews one method of enabling a discontinuousâmode flyback converter to operate beyond its traditional range of input voltage of 3:1 to a range of more than 6.6:1 without affecting the reliability of its operation. This is done by changing its mode of operation and the use of recently available power MOSFETs with breakdown voltage ratings of 1,200 V.</div>

This blog is created with a sole purpose to provide assistance in necessary books, materials suggestions regarding the different topics in electrical engineering. I am dealing with converter design, controllers modeling in the field of power electronics. It will be my preference to provide material and suggestions in the same area. <br />
For dealing with dc/dc converters, try to use the P-spice software.<br />
For dealing with power converters particularly inverters or cyclo-converters or matrix converters use Simulink or matlab-2016 software.<br />
For dealing with high power or ultra high power system circuit simulations like transmission lines, generators, transformers etc use software like Pscad or Opal RT.</div>
